DOG / PUPPY ADOPTION APPLICATION

Please note that the completion of this application does not guarantee the adoption of one of our dogs. The full adoption process includes:

  1. Completed application, verbal interview with a Hollywood Huskies representative, and an in-person home check (or photos and/or video in lieu of in-person). If approved, then:

  2. Adoption fee. 100% of the fee goes to saving dogs. The adoption fee varies by age and the specific dog.

  3. For puppies and high-in-demand dogs, adoption fees are non-refundable – we are still happy to take back the dog if it’s not the right fit, and we will issue a donation receipt for the amount of the adoption fee. If at any time during the life of the dog you are unable to keep him/her for any reason, you agree to return him/her only to Hollywood Huskies.

  4. ALL DOGS MUST BE SPAYED OR NEUTERED. No exceptions. Normally, the dogs will be spayed/neutered prior to adoption. However, there are occasional situations such as where it is a puppy too young for surgery, or a dog has health/medical reasons to temporarily delay the procedure, or there are appointment scheduling delays due to covid. In these cases, THE DOG ADOPTION IS NOT FINALIZED UNTIL SPAY/NEUTER HAS BEEN COMPLETED. Typically, either we will schedule the spay/neuter at one of our rescue affiliated spay/neuter clinics, or you may have the option to do the spay/neuter at a clinic near you for convenience but in the latter situation, you will be required to personally pay for the higher surgery cost. These details, along with the time-frame of when the puppy/dog must be spayed/neutered will be confirmed on a case-by-case basis by email and/or in your final adoption contract. If you are adopting a puppy/dog prior to their spay/neuter, you MUST provide a spay/neuter certificate within the required timeline, or Hollywood Huskies has the right to reclaim the dog.
